Airline Pilots Gaining Bigger Dollars!
American Airlines pilots have supported an agreement that will raise their compensation by over 40% their association said Monday.
The pilots union said that 73% of pilots who participated cast a ballot for the four-year contract, which it estimated at $9.6 billion. American Airlines has around 15,000 pilots.
Pilots at American dismissed a proposition earlier last November, but they agreed in late July, which was rethought again after the Carrier supported the arrangement with its pilots.
Pilots at Delta Airlines also won enormous increases in their salary recently. Pilots at Southwest Carriers are still in negotiation.
The pilots association said its new agreement with American Airlines contains $1.1 billion for one-time installments and rewards with quick salary increases averaging 21%.
Yearly raises, in addition to expanded organization commitments, also include raises to retirement plans, which will raise the worth of absolute pay by over 46% more than four years, per the association.
